Questions about Riwa
- What is Riwa?
- Riwa is an iPhone and iPad app for reading the Quran in Arabic, asking questions with an AI study assistant that cites the verses behind each answer, and keeping a daily reading and reflection practice.
- Does Riwa include Quran recitation audio?
- No. Riwa has no recitation audio and no memorisation grading. Its voice feature lets you speak a question and hear the assistant’s written reply read back by the system voice, where the service and your device support the language.
- Does Riwa issue religious rulings?
- No. AI explanations can be wrong. They are not a fatwa and not a substitute for a qualified scholar. Every answer lists the verses it draws on, and tapping a reference opens the original Arabic text in the reader.
- Does Riwa work offline?
- The bundled Arabic Quran text, search, bookmarks and reading progress work without a connection. AI answers, daily content, accounts and purchases require internet access.
- How many languages does Riwa support?
- The app interface is available in 33 languages. The scripture itself is the Arabic original: Riwa does not ship Quran translations.
- What does Riwa cost?
- Riwa is free to download, and reading the Quran needs no account and no payment. Riwa Plus is optional, at US $3.99 per week or US $29.99 per year, with a 3-day free trial for users Apple finds eligible; other regions use Apple’s local equivalents. One-off question packs and point packs are also available.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Reading works without one. Connected features may create a guest account, and registering an email address is optional. You can delete your account from Settings. Deleting a Riwa account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
